If you've been to our site recently (and hopefully you have) you'll notice an extra something something in your search results for ski resorts- lift tickets! The Trax Team has been trying to bring you the best ski packages and that includes direct deals with the resorts to bring you the best lift ticket prices. The best part- adding lift tickets may actually discount the hotel rate as well! Take a look at this new functionality that SnowTrax brings to you and----- seize the moment by booking your ski package now! We've put a lot of hard work and energy into this so please check it out and let us know what you think. I know this has been long awaited- we've even received many phone calls from you asking when this functionality will be up. Thank you for continuing to send us constructive criticism and positive reviews of our site- we're doing our best to bring you the best and the most comprehensive search engine for your next ski vacation needs. Matt has been working on getting us more direct deals with resorts in the North American continent, so don't be let down if your resort doesn't have the lift ticket option- we'll get it to you as soon as possible (we promise!).
On another note, since January is officially coming to an end I figure I should update you on some office buzz- we celebrated TWO Trax Team members' birthdays this month:
Happy Birthday to Ashley and Anne-Marie!!!

SnowTrax chosen as Cool Site of the Day!
If you've never heard of Kim Komando, she's a radio host primarily known for her three-hour call-in show that gets broadcasted on over 470 stations, an author, and a columnist. Most importantly, though, she runs a section on her website www.komando.com where she features what she thinks is the cool site of the day.
Just this past Friday, she chose SnowTrax.com as her top pick (http://bit.ly/gWUeYt)! It is such an honor for the Trax Team for the site to be given such a distinguished title- thank you Kim for featuring us on your site, and thanks everyone for your support!
If you've never checked us out, and this is your first time reading our blog- be sure to check out snowtrax.com for your next ski vacation (and suntrax.com for beach destinations). Please feel free to leave us feedback at any time as we are constantly working to build our site into the best in the business.

how does the trax team relieve stress at the workplace?
This is a little outdated, but we thought it was funny while it lasted so here it goes! We received a holiday package from a certain law firm that our boss works with for his ventures. He brought in a GINORMOUS (literally ginormous!) box that he told us was chocolate. This box, I'd say, feels like it weighs a ton, and quickly we figured out that it was a large block of chocolate, not individual chocolate morsels/ treats. We decided to open it up, and this is what we found:
A thin metal hammer- o_O?
the great revealing....
mr. bossman examining the goods. he's an engineer so he's calculating the mass of the chocolate vs. the force and speed upon which he must strike the chocolate for complete breakage (okay, I kid- well not about his engineering brain, but all those calculations :P)
he's super excited to relieve some stress!
So we ended up with a few broken chunks of milk chocolate... that I just may take home to use and bake cookies for everyone in the office as an end of the month treat. We shall see, and I will keep you awesome readers updated on how amazing they turn out (hopefully!). Until next time, ciao trax-a-holics!

end to twenty ten, bringing on twenty eleven...
Year in review-
WOW. 2010 has gone by so fast with a lot of exciting things happening with SnowTrax and SunTrax. This year has been a crazy one, but worthwhile in retrospect. Just to give you a little wrap up of what happened at the Trax office this year...
*Ashley and Michelle (yup, that's me!) joined the Trax Team comprised of Ani and Evvie.
*Trax had to say farewell to Ani who was moving to the west coast to fulfill her dreams of possibly going back to Spain at some point for graduate school (we miss you!)
*Trax moved out of the beta version and officially became an OTA! :D
*SnowTrax welcomed Matt Zito, our ski consultant who rocked out in helping us bring sweet deals to the table for our loyal Trax fans
*SnowTrax started contracting direct deals with hotels to bring travelers the best ski package deals out there
*Anne-Marie joined the Trax Team, bringing the office count to 4 (and providing Ashley with company next to her desk)!
*SnowTrax Twitter and Facebook pages were born with a vision- specials, specials, specials!
*SnowTrax was mentioned as one of the killer start ups of 2010 (thank you for your support!!!)
*Joe Bous (mr. bossman) had his firstborn son, Maximus Alexander Bous! (Congrats new daddy!!!)
*Trax Team rocked out at Lucky Strike in DC to celebrate the holidays and the end of an awesome year!
Whew- that was a long breath. I tried to be as condense as possible, but hopefully you got a sneak peek at how action packed and fulfilling the year 2010 was for the Trax Team. We hope that your year was just as rewarding, and that the new year only brings you the best (deals from Trax of course!). Haha, okay, that was a little far fetched, but really- we hope you have the best of luck and the greatest experiences in the year 2011!
